Nevertheless, a little study of history gave us a head start: It was no accident that solar deities figured in practically every ancient religion. By the later periods of Roman history, sun worship was so prevalent that it ultimately led to what has been called a solar monotheism. Nearly all the gods of the period had solar qualities ascribed to them.
By the time we began to develop technology to deliver the highest quality, most efficient and effective light therapy, we were already looking beyond the sun. We discovered that, although the sun was the ultimate origin of light and heat, it was the entire sky — from its color to the illumination it refracted, reflected and absorbed — that actually affected the human body most vividly.
